Hello, friends! This Summer I made a cozy using the knit stitch for my Mason Jar Glasses. The idea popped into my head to use the sock monkey colors that I’ve used for cowls & beanies, & here we are! I hope y’all enjoy!! Thanks so much for checking out my pattern. 🌻🌲🍂
Materials:
- G Hook
- Gray, red & cream or white worsted weight yarn
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Notes:
- Work in a continuous round
- Do not chain one to begin a new round
Stitches:
- Chain stitch
- Slip stitch
- HDC
- 3rd Loop HDC (knit stitch)
Tumbler Pattern:
- With grey yarn, Chain 31
- Slip stitch into the 1st chain to form a circle.
- Round 1: Complete 1 round of HDC.
- Rounds 2-7: Complete 6 rounds of 3rd Loop HDC with grey yarn, 31 stitches per round. Work continuously around. Do not chain one to begin new round.
- Rounds 8 & 9: (Color change) With cream yarn, complete 2 rounds of 3rd Loop HDC.
- Round 10: (Color change) With red yarn, complete 1 round of 3rd Loop HDC.
- Rounds 11 & 12: (Color change) With cream yarn, complete 2 rounds of 3rd Loop HDC.
- Slip stitch to finish, sew in ends with tapestry needle & trim excess yarn.
- Cozy may fit tight upon first use, but it will stretch with time.
Mason Jar Glass Pattern:
- With grey yarn, Chain 35
- Slip stitch into the 1st chain to form a circle.
- Round 1: Complete 1 round of HDC, 35 stitches.
- Rounds 2-8: Complete 7 rounds of 3rd Loop HDC with grey yarn, 35 stitches per round. Work continuously around. Do not chain one to begin new round.
- Rounds 9 & 10: (Color change) With cream yarn, complete 2 rounds of 3rd Loop HDC.
- Round 11: (Color change) With red yarn, complete 1 round of 3rd Loop HDC.
- Rounds 12 & 13: (Color change) With cream yarn, complete 2 rounds of 3rd Loop HDC.
- Slip stitch to finish, sew in ends with tapestry needle & trim excess yarn.
- Cozy may fit tight upon first use, but it will stretch with time.
*Please note: A Mason Jar Glass is smaller than a standard Mason Jar. This cozy will not fit a standard Mason Jar.
