Demi Bow PatternĀ

Hi, friends! I created a smaller version of my Southern Style Bow & thought I’d share the pattern. I love this look around a messy bun or make two for the perfect sized pigtail clips! I hope y’all enjoy.

  • Worsted weight or cotton yarn (I used I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby)
  • G Hook, 4.25mm (I used a Boye Hook)
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • Clip, elastic, nylon, etc. to attach bow to

  • Slip Stitch
  • Chain Stitch
  • HDC, BLO (Half double crochet, back loop only)

Time: 20 minutes

  • I do NOT chain one before going into the first stitch.
  • I work in a continuous round around the bow.

  • Chain 25
  • Join last stitch with first stitch by using a slip stitch.
  • Crochet 6 rounds of HDC, BLO.
  • I do NOT chain one before going into the first stitch.
  • I work in a continuous round around the bow.
  • Slip stitch into last stitch to finish.
  • Sew in ends.
  • Pinch center and wrap yarn around the bow to tie together.
  • Add to desired headband, clip, hat, bonnet or dress! I think they work best on small alligator clips as shown below. I purchased my clips from Hobby Lobby.Ā
  • Crochet seven rows vs. six for a fuller look!
  • Crochet HDC vs. HDC, BLO for this style. Please note that your bow will measure slightly larger if you use HDC.

  • 3 3/8″ W x 2″ H
